Privacy policy

Short version: the reflection tool keeps everything on your device.

Your reflections stay on your device

What you write on the reflection page is saved only in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to this site's servers, and the site has no way to read it. Clearing your browser data, or pressing "Erase" on the page, removes it. We recommend not using the reflection page on a shared device.

What the server records

  • Standard server logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser) for security and troubleshooting, kept for a limited period.
  • A session cookie where required for the site to function.
  • If you use the contact form, the name, email and message you submit, to read and respond to it.

Analytics

The site can use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and anonymous events such as "timeline viewed" or "search performed". It is off until you accept: the banner at the bottom of the page lets you accept or decline, and the "Analytics choice" link in the footer lets you change your mind. With analytics declined, Google receives no analytics cookies. We do not use advertising features or share data for ads. Your reflections, and which option you pick on the reflection page, are never sent to analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser as rt.consent. If advertising is added later, this page will be updated first.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for accounts, religious affiliation, health information or payment details, and we do not sell personal data.

Local storage keys

The site may store: your theme choice (rt.theme), your analytics choice (rt.consent), and, if you use the reflection page, your reflection (rt.reflection.v1). All of them stay in your browser.

Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent through the contact page.

This policy is written in plain language. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be before the site carries advertising or analytics in regions with specific consent rules.
