Prediction
What did John Hagee predict?
A sequence of four total lunar eclipses fell on Jewish holidays in April 2014, October 2014, April 2015 and September 2015. Authors linked it to Joel 2:31 and said it signaled coming change. Hagee did not name a Rapture date.
Interpretation by the author
Why did they believe it?
Mark Biltz, a pastor, pointed out that the four eclipses, a tetrad, coincided with Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles in two successive years. John Hagee's book Four Blood Moons (2013) argued that earlier tetrads had coincided with important events in Jewish history and that the 2014 and 2015 sequence was a sign of significant events to come.
Scripture as used by the author
